TESTIMONIALS

“Friend and I went to lunch here and LOVED it! Order at the counter, and take a seat! Your food will come out piping hot shortly, followed by sopapillas for dessert!

Setting: small place in a busy strip mall, plenty of parking.

Food: The online menu doesn’t show the lunch options, but we were informed of the smaller portions at the counter. We ordered a plate of 2 crispy shredded beef tacos and a plate of 2 cheese enchiladas, less than $8 each. Both came with rice and beans. The tacos came with their red salsa on the side. A short while later, our sopapillas came out! For those who don’t know, sopapillas are Mexican fried dough — they are donuts, like beignets. Open them up and drizzle honey onto them, there’s a bottle on the table!

Bottom line: Cheap, fast, delicious! I loved my meal and am already planning the next time I can make it here!”

“I don’t want to spoil the experience by creating a long line here, but Little Anita’s is one of Denver’s finer breakfast burrito spots.  Very affordable, and very delicious!  If we could just get rid of all that traffic on Colorado Blvd, this place would be no less than a weekly stop for me.

Definitely get that thing smothered!  Green chili is the right answer.  So good.”

“I grew up in New Mexico and have an affinity for New Mexican restaurants and green chile. That being said, when I visited Denver last weekend, my cousin surprised me by taking me to Little Anita’s for breakfast. Since I now live in the land of Tex-Mex, it was nice getting a taste of home while on travel.

I ordered a breakfast burrito with eggs and bacon smothered in green chile and it didn’t disappoint. We also had chips and salsa and sopaipillas, which were basically your standard fair.

Besides the burrito, the star of the show was the Customer Service. The girl at the cash register was incredibly friendly, she knew her regulars by name, and treated everyone like they were special, even complimenting my Albert Einstein t-shirt. I said the word sopaipilla from my table and the next thing I knew, she said, “Did we forget your sopaipillas?” And the sopaipillas were delivered instantly. (Note: I may or may not have ordered sopaipillas. All names have been withheld to protect the innocent).

I would definitely return if in the Denver area. Maybe next trip I’ll see how their tacos and enchiladas stack up.”

“Stopped in for lunch while on a work trip. Good quick food. I had the chicken stuffed sopapilla with green chili over top with rice and beans. It was really quick, the food was hot and the sopapillas with some honey were a throwback to my childhood in Texas. Definitely stop in, if you are in the area.”

“Service was great. My dad and I can sometimes be a little picky. The nice cashier came up with a nice combination for my dad and I with guacamole, chicken, Spanish rice, beans, and some sort of a bread/ donut thingy. The food was good and the prices are vey reasonable. The restaurant is clean, the service was good and it seems like a lot of local customers go there so if you have a chance I would recommend you to go there.”

“The staff at Little Anita’s are so friendly even if the food weren’t fantastic I might go there just to see them. I found out about Anita’s during the March Madness Denver breakfast burrito competition, where they took second place.

The breakfast burritos are indeed to die for. All of the ingredients are freshly cooked to order and the tortillas are soft and warm. I have also had the chicken fajitas there which are Saucier than I would like but still quite delicious.

Little Anita’s does great carry out for those on the go. I look forward to trying more items.”

“The other day I was at work and was craving a breakfast burrito so I came by here and I was glad I did!

I went with a breakfast burrito with chorizo and beans covered in green chili. It was huge! Way more than I was expecting but it was delicious so I didn’t mind. I got my burrito to go and they were very quick with the take out.

If you’re craving a breakfast burrito be sure to check out this place!”

“I love this place! Haven’t had a bad experience yet. Not only am I a frequent diner, but I got Little Anitas catering service last August. The owner was so helpful and accommodating. I got a fantastic price and she worked with all of my needs. I live closer to the Denver location and she allowed me to pick up my food from there. All
Of my guests were so satisfied by the spread. Thank you again, Little A’s! I will not only be back as a diner but will you keep you in mind for my next catered event!”
-Jacqueline C.

“My husband and I have made eating at Little Anita’s a weekly tradition. The restaurant atmosphere is relaxed and cheery. The staff are all fantastic and very friendly. The food is AMAZING! Their breakfast burrito is THE BEST in Denver for sure! They have a variety of ingredients that you can choose from to customize your burrito. They can come smothered in red or green chili (I strongly recommend the green chili). And the pricing is very reasonable. Definitely check it out!”

“Considering it’s in a strip mall on a very busy street it is terrific! We are vegetarians and there were ample choices for us and for everyone else as well. We might as well have been back in Taos NM.”
-Andrew B.

“Just stopped by before class. Great salsa! Good food, staff was great, great prices. Clean place too.”
-Lincoln V.

“I love the enchiladas!! They make them NM style where they stack the tortillas with cheese & good (spicy) red chili!!!”
-Robbie W.

“Have been going to Little Anita’s since moving to Denver 5 years ago and have never been disappointed. Whether it’s breakfast burritos to-go for a client meeting or just a weekend lunch, it has always been great. Recommend the chili rellenos or a bowl of green chili stew. Tried one of their breakfast skillets last weekend and it was more than I could eat. Wife had the carne adovada with eggs which was also excellent.”
-Bob S.

“Used to eat in Albuquerque when we stayed there. this place is just as great as the Little Anita’s in Albuquerque. I had the #3 combination with both red and green chile – great flavor. My wife had the rellenos plate, just like my mom used to make. I would highly recommend this place, especially if you are in the mood for Mexican food.”
